Corsanico

Corsanico is a tiny village of very ancient origins, dating back to Roman colonial times in the second century before Christ. The medieval chapel of San Michele Arcangelo in Corsanico, the village’s most important monument, is significant not only for its historical and religious importance but for the presence of a spectacular monumental organ made by Vincenzo Colonna of Venice between 1602 and 1606, now completely restored and perfectly functional, to the amazement of those who appreciate the solemn sound of the church organ. |

Despite its small size, Corsanico becomes a cultural centre for classical music lovers every summer in July and August with its prestigious thirty-year-old "International Classical Music Festival", featuring performances by numerous world-renowned artists and orchestras in a packed programme of concerts and events. |
Processione della Vergine Addolorata

Another event worth noting in Corsanico is the Processione della Vergine Addolorata, a procession which has been held on the first Sunday in May for almost three hundred years, in which an ancient silver statue of the Virgin is carried in procession around the town’s ancient streets. |
